New to Waveburner problem/question

I'm new to using Waveburner and the problem I'm having is deleting pauses. After arranging my songs in order, Waveburner created a pause at the very beginning of song 1 which is obviously not needed. I've tried clicking on the pause length and deleting or typing 0:00 but it seems to have no affect but it does affect any song after it when I try it. How do I get rid of that pause at the beginning? Thanks!
